Executive Presence when declining a meeting

Things change, and we all have to decline things, sometimes frequently. This is a good reminder to think about how you do that.

One of the largest human fears is rejection. We are not normally conscious of the strong tie. It comes out in less obvious ways. A gracious decline can reduce or even eliminate the rejection emotion if the message affirms the desire to meet at a future time.

Think about the person on the other side of the screen. It might help avoid problems or frustration.
